Terms, cookies and privacy policy

The general terms set out below apply to use of the service. The service provides education in clinical medicine, principally in text and images. The terms below constitute the “General Terms”.

1. Membership

1.1 The service offers education (principally in text and images) in clinical medicine, ECG diagnostics and cardiovascular medicine.

1.2 A membership is required in order to use the service. The membership requires you to pay a fee and to provide an email address, name, address and occupation.

1.3 The information is directed at professionals and students in healthcare programmes. The primary target group is physicians, nurses, biomedical scientists, ambulance personnel and researchers. The knowledge may not be used by non-professionals and shall not be used to replace evidence-based care. The information is intended to be in harmony with existing medical guidelines and consensus documents, but it cannot be guaranteed that it is entirely in line with such documents. It is the user's responsibility to ascertain whether the information is correct.

1.4 The term of the membership follows from the subscription you choose. For fixed-term subscriptions, payment is made on an ongoing basis and the subscription is renewed automatically until you cancel it. You may cancel the subscription at any time under “My account”. If you cancel the subscription before it has expired, you nevertheless retain access to all material for the remainder of the period.

2. Payment

2.1 Prices for use of the service are always stated on the order page. All prices are shown including Swedish value added tax. A right of return applies for 14 days.

3. Rights

3.1 As a member you have the right to use the education personally. You may not use the content for commercial purposes, and your login details may not be shared with others.

3.2 Use of the service requires an internet connection, a web browser and a functioning server. This means that it cannot be guaranteed that you will always have access to the service.

3.3 The authors of the educational material own the rights to text and images, unless otherwise stated directly in connection with the text and images. You are not entitled to copy or distribute the content without the authors' written consent.

4. Complaints

4.1 If you consider that the service is not working, you shall submit a complaint regarding your purchase within 30 days.

5. Processing of personal data and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

5.1 Which personal data do we store? We store your email address, first name, surname, place of work (optional) and occupation (optional) when you register. In addition, we record your IP address for your security and ours. The IP address may be used to (1) question whether you are complying with the condition not to share your login details with third parties, or (2) assess whether an unauthorised person has gained access to your account. In order to become a member you must — unless you use Swish as your payment method — provide payment details via VISA, MasterCard or PayPal.

We never store your payment details on our servers. The payment details are instead stored with the payment provider (Stripe, PayPal). For subscribers this is mandatory for as long as the subscription is active. For holders of a permanent membership we can delete the payment details as soon as the payment has been completed. Your personal data is never disclosed to third parties.

5.2 Newsletter and continuing education. The service includes the dispatch of a newsletter no more than 16 times per year. The newsletter primarily contains educational material and is used to send continuing medical education (CME) to you as a user or subscriber. The newsletter therefore forms part of the educational service. We continue to send educational material even if you cancel your subscription, but you may unsubscribe at any time. The newsletter may contain information about services or offers from third parties.

5.3 Visitor statistics (cookies). We measure how the site is used with Google Analytics in order to see which sections need improvement. The measurement is never used for advertising or advertising profiling — those categories are disabled. The addresses transmitted are stripped of query strings, so the single-use links for email verification and password changes can never be passed on to Google.

5.4 Erasure. You may request that we erase all data we have stored about you. We erase the data within 72 hours.

6. Terminating membership

6.1 If you wish to delete your user account, please send a request via the contact page.

7. Confidentiality

7.1 Your personal data is never disclosed to third parties.

8. Miscellaneous

8.1 Rawshani Research AB reserves the right to amend the above terms. You will receive notification of such amendments 30 days before they are implemented, whereupon you have the opportunity to terminate your membership.

You have the right to refer the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes, Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), arn@arn.se.
